Howey shares their thoughts about working on the project.

Power Rangers: Mighty Force at Mighty Kingdom

This project represents my first opportunity as a Technical Lead at Mighty Kingdom. My responsibilities included but were not limited to Technical Design Documentation, Lead Programmer, Multi-discipline Squad Lead for Main Loop Gameplay, as well as liaising with other squads like the Narrative/Content squad , Backend squad, and Battle squad.

One of the tasks I worked on was leading the implementation of IdleCore (a suite of packages which included a customized version of IdleKit which was shared across multiple projects at Mighty Kingdom). this was a challenging task as IdleCore needed to support an already released and live game in Star Trek: Lower Decks: The Badgey Directive while also supporting the new technologies and features being created for Power Rangers: Mighty Force. This gave Mighty Kingdom an opportunity to improve workflows and processes and allowed them to continue working towards more robust and reusable code libraries.

Outside of becoming a mentor (programmer) at Mighty Kingdom, this was my first opportunity to take on the responsibility as a Technical Lead for multiple programmers, as well as a Squad Lead for developers from other disciplines, such as QA, Art, and Design. This is to date the most challenging role I have taken on while working in the Game Developer Industry. This role allowed me to grow as a developer and helped me to define my career goals moving forward.

The Power Rangers: Mighty Force team worked diligently to develop a great game.

This was the last project I worked on at Mighty Kingdom.

I was privileged to work with amazingly talented people at Mighty Kingdom and still miss working alongside them today.
